2011 Kentucky State Air Pistol And Air Rifle Championship
201 1 Progressive Position Pistol Championship


Date: March 19,2011 (Air Pistol), March 20,2011 (Air Rifle)
Time: First relay begins shooting at 9 a.m. Second relay begins shooting at 12:00 noon. There will be
a final for the top 8 for air rifle and top eight air pistol shooters 30 minutes after the second relay
finishes shooting.
Categories: There will be categories for Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, and Master.

For Progressive Position categories will serve as the state qualifier for the 2011 Progressive Position
Junior Olympics held in July at Camp Perry.

The categories are as follows...
* Basic Supported- For shooters up to age 13. May use support and use both hands on grip.
* Standing Supported- For shooters up to age 15, May use support while standing and one hand on gun.
* International One-Handed Standing- Age - when the shooter can physically hold the pistol correctly.
* No support. One hand grip only. Arm fully extended.

Location: University of Kentucky, Barker Hall. If you need directions, please call the contact person

Course Of Fire:Open air rifle and air pistol and junior air pistol, 60 shots in 105 minutes. Junior air
rifle 40 shots in 55 minutes. Progressive Position is 75 minutes for 40 shots. All times include
unlimited sighter shots but no sighter shots are allowed after record firing begins.

Rules
: All current NRA International Air Pistol and Air Rifle rules apply.

Cost:
$20 Adult, $10 Junior. Membership in the Kentucky State Rifle and Pistol Association is highly
recommended as supplies the awards and supports competitive shooting in of Kentucky.

Awards:
Annual trophies given for high open, junior, and woman in air pistol. For air rifle, an annual
trophy is given for high open and high junior. Winners are eligible for multiple trophies. The highest
Kentucky resident finisher in each final will be declared the state champion.

Reservations: Strongly requested as early relays tend to fill up fast.
