FORT KNOX GATE REQUIREMENTS FOR 2010

Since 2001 it has always been necessary to submit a gate roster of all shooters attending rifle and pistol matches on Fort Knox. The information required on the gate roster has changed over the years and has changed again for this year.
The new requirements for the gate roster and entering Fort Knox for 2010 are:

• All shooters must use Chaffee Gate to enter the post on match days.
• All shooters attending a match on Fort Knox must be on the gate roster that will only be used at Chaffee Gate.
• The gate roster for Chaffee Gate must be submitted to the Fort Knox Physical Security Officer at least one week before each match.
• All shooters must supply the following information to the Match Director 9 days before the match you are attending: Full Name including Middle Name, Current Address, Date of Birth, Rifle Type with Serial Number, Phone Number, and NRA Number (the last two items are used for match results only).
• Once your information is on the gate roster for the first match you shoot at Fort Knox, it will be on each gate roster for the remainder of the season. A new gate roster will be started from scratch next year.
• If any of your information on the gate roster changes, you must get it to the Match Director before the next match you shoot on Ft Knox.
• If you have any questions about the gate roster contact the Match Director.
• The 2010 Match Director is Bill Balda at 1-800-852-0942 ext. 4536 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Directions to Scott Mountain Range from Chaffee Gate

Directions:  Travel down Dixie Highway, 31W, to the exit for Chafee Gate on Bullion Boulevard and exit Dixie Highway, 31W, to enter post through Chafee Gate.  When stopped at the gate and asked where you are going, say that you are traveling to Scott Mountain Range and the gate guards will check your name on the roster.  Be sure to show your driver’s license and have current vehicle registration and proof of insurance with you.  After clearing the gate, drive down Bullion Boulevard about 1.3 miles to the cloverleaf intersection with Eisenhower Avenue.  Take the first right at the cloverleaf onto Eisenhower Avenue and go immediately under the railroad tracks and up to the traffic light at Knox Street.  Turn left at this light and go north on Brandenburg Gate Road towards the gate to Frazier Road (just after the railroad tracks).  Turn right onto Frazier Road and go to the four way stop at Wilson Road.  Then go straight through the intersection and travel down Main Range Road past French Range.  Continue down Main Range Road and go down an extremely steep hill.  At the base of the hill turn left onto Porter River Road.  Follow Porter River Road across the bridge to the first gate on the right, turn right and go up the steep hill.
